Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women was founded on July 7, 1989, in Nashville, Tennessee. We are a statewide women's bar association whose efforts have dramatically increased the number of women on the bench and in other legal positions. Our purpose is to:

    • Achieve the full participation of women lawyers in the rights, privileges and benefits of the legal profession.
    • Increase the number of women serving on the bench.
    • Provide opportunities for mutual support and fellowship.
    • Support the status and progress of women in society.
    • Provide a source for continuing legal education.
Membership to TLAW is open to any person who is a member in good standing of a State or Federal Bar of the United States. Any person supporting the purposes of TLAW, any student, and any law graduate. awaiting admission may also be a member. You can join TLAW here
